PURE Ministries seeks to awaken Christians across the nation and increase awareness of and ministry to people with disabilities and their families through our churches. One aspect we strive to transform is the very viewpoint that our society has of individuals with special needs. So often, a person’s disability becomes a definition of who he or she is. Our belief is that we are all purposefully made by God who has a specific plan for each of us. One step in this transformation is the introduction of a new term that refers to people with disabilities in a positive, edifying light. We believe that this expression embodies spiritual truths that our society often overlooks. |
